Celebrating 100 Years!

Seattle First Church of the Nazarene celebrated it’s One Hundredth year anniversary as a community of faith on October 13 & 14, 2007. SFC has been in Seattle for 100 years, and in the Wallingford neighborhood for over 50!

On Saturday October 13 we began with a Banquet, we then enjoyed a time of remembering the paths we have taken while getting
reacquainted with old friends. Sunday morning was an inspirational service led by Dr. Ron Benefiel, president of Nazarene Theological Seminary. Throughout the morning he lead, challenged, and pointed us toward our next One Hundred Years.

All the events took place in the Discovery House building. The Saturday night festivities began at 5pm in the Discovery House Fellowship Hall and concluded in Mosaic, a community coffee house. The Sunday Morning Celebration Service began at 9am with coffee and pastries in Mosaic, a community coffee house. The Service began at 10am in the Discovery House Sanctuary with special music by the Washington Scottish Pipe Band and live art by Scott Erickson.
